As we make our way through the end of forbearance for many owners and operating companies, we expect receivership assignments to rise. For businesses across many sectors the challenges will continue in the coming months, leading many to seek expertise in problem resolution and workout services.
In Part I of this series, DWC shared the story of an equity receivership involving Tamarack Resort, a complex ski resort near Boise, Idaho. In that assignment, we took an extensive role in preserving the value of the resort, which included a ski mountain, condo units, hotel units, restaurants and other operations.
Rents and profits receiverships are particularly relevant today among commercial retail properties that find themselves in distress due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
